The Films screen lists every film your organisation is licensed for. From here you check what your licence allows, how long it lasts, and watch episodes. Admins, marketers and partners can open it; developers cannot.

Rights on a film

Each film carries two independent rights for your organisation, plus an optional licence window:

Right Label on the film card What it allows
Streaming Streaming only (when you have no export rights) Watch the film's episodes in the portal.
Exports Export rights Build ad creatives from the film's episodes.

A licence window can have a start date, an end date, both or neither. Outside the window, Wandura refuses both watching and building with the message "The license window for this film has ended."

Browse the catalogue

  1. Open Films in the sidebar.
  2. Type part of a title in Search films and press Search.
  3. To narrow by grade, use the Tier chips. S is the highest tier and F the lowest; films without a grade are listed as Not rated. Higher tiers are listed first.
  4. Use Previous and Next to page through the results.

Each film card shows the poster, the rights label, the tier, the title, the film code, the number of episodes, up to two genres, and the licence end date. The end date turns into a warning when fewer than 30 days remain.

If the list is empty, no films are licensed to your organisation yet. Ask Wandura.

Film details

Click a film to open its page. Depending on what Wandura has on file, the header shows the film code, audio language, season, release date, rating, synopsis and tags. Below the header:

Panel What it shows
Your rights Watch, Create & export, or both, and the licence window: "Starts …", "Until … · N days left", "Ended …" or "No end date". It turns into a warning within 30 days of the end.
Org export budget Minutes of export used this month out of your organisation's monthly limit. See Creatives.
Creatives How many creatives from this film exist in your organisation that you can see.
Episodes ready Episodes that have confirmed ad moments and can be used to build creatives.

The episode list shows each episode's state:

State Meaning
Processing The episode is still being prepared. It cannot be watched or used yet.
Not analyzed You can watch it, but Wandura has not found ad moments in it yet.
Ready for creation Ad moments are confirmed; you can build creatives from it.

Episodes with subtitles show a CC tag with the language codes, and episodes with ad moments show how many were found. Watch appears on an episode once it is playable and you have streaming rights. Create from episode appears once it is ready for creation and you have export rights.

With export rights, the header also has Blank creative and New creative; only admins and marketers can use them. See Creatives.

Watch episodes

  1. On a film page, press Watch episodes, or Watch next to one episode.
  2. Pick an episode from the Episodes list. Only episodes marked Ready to stream can be played.
  3. The player loads the episode. The first play of an episode can take about 20 seconds while your copy is prepared.

What you see while watching

  • You watch a preview copy prepared for the portal, never the master file.
  • Playback links are short-lived. If the video stops or refuses to seek, press Get a new playback link. This is free and does not re-render anything.
  • Review cuts carry a watermark unique to you; see Review cuts.

Warning: Playback links are issued to you personally. Do not share links, screenshots or recordings of licensed films.

Review cuts

Wandura sometimes shares a film before its final release so your team can review it. These review cuts look like any other film, with three differences:

  • A Review cut badge appears next to the title on the card and on the film page.
  • A notice on the film page and the watch page reads "Review cut — not the final film", followed by "Access until date" when your access has an end date.
  • Every episode of a review cut plays with a visible code unique to you burned into the picture, so a leaked copy can be traced back to the person who watched it.

Your access to a review cut ends on the date shown; after that the film can no longer be watched. Send feedback on a review cut in your team's Wandura Discord channel; the portal has no comment box for it.
