Cinematic Ads with your AI assistant (MCP)

Markdown
On this page

Cinematic Ads remakes an existing video ad, the original ad, for your own app or brand: the same shots, timing and style, with new people, product, language and brand kit. Through the Wandura MCP server, an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) runs the same studio as the web, one step at a time. It is for members of a workspace with Cinematic Ads turned on, and it spends that workspace's credits at cost, at the same prices as the web.

Before you start

  • A workspace with Cinematic Ads turned on, where you are Owner, Admin or Member (Viewers cannot use it). Cinematic Ads is turned on per workspace: ask Wandura at support@wandura.ai. See Getting started with workspaces.
  • Credits in your wallet in that workspace. See Credits, pool and wallets.
  • The original ad as a public link to the file itself: MP4 or MOV, up to 3 minutes and 300 MB. A Google Drive or YouTube page link does not work.
  • Your brand material as public links (optional): app icon, product photos, mascot, end card, app screenshots or screen recordings. Images can be PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 20 MB.

Connect your AI

Add this address to your AI app and sign in with your Wandura account. There is no API key to copy.

https://www.wandura.ai/api/mcp
  • Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop): open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, name it Wandura, paste the address, choose Add, then Connect and sign in. In a chat, turn the connector on from the tools menu.
  • ChatGPT and Cursor: add the same address and sign in with OAuth, as described in Connect AI (use this address instead of the partner one).
  • Claude Code: run the command below, then type /mcp, pick wandura and choose Authenticate.
claude mcp add --transport http wandura https://www.wandura.ai/api/mcp

Once connected, your assistant sees tools whose names start with cinematic_ads_. It can call cinematic_ads_guide (free) to read the steps below.

Make an ad, step by step

  1. Create a project with the original ad link (cinematic_ads_create_project). If you have several Cinematic Ads workspaces, say which one pays. Projects start vertical (9:16): for a landscape or square ad, ask for the right aspect before the analysis.
  2. Analyze the original ad (cinematic_ads_analyze, paid). The assistant first tells you the price of the analysis. The analysis plans the shots, speech, characters, products and places. It takes a few minutes.
  3. Check the project (cinematic_ads_get_project) until its status is ready. Right then, the assistant gives you one estimate for the images, clips and final video together.
  4. Optional: set the brand kit, language and video model (cinematic_ads_update_project), find the original ad's brand mentions and app screens (cinematic_ads_brand_scan), describe changes in plain words (cinematic_ads_refine, which only proposes), and edit characters, products and places or give them your own image by URL (cinematic_ads_update_asset).
  5. Make the images of the characters, products and places (cinematic_ads_make_images, paid, one image each).
  6. Make the video (cinematic_ads_make_video, paid). Clips take several minutes.
  7. Check the project until every clip is ready.
  8. Export the final video (cinematic_ads_export, paid). When the export is done, the project shows a link to the final video.

After the estimate, the assistant runs the paid steps one after another without asking before each one. You can open the same project on the web at www.wandura.ai/cinematic-ads at any step.

Long steps keep running

A step that takes longer than about a minute answers running and continues on the server. Do not start that step again: keep checking the project. Checking also picks up images and clips as they finish, so let the assistant keep checking until the end.

What costs credits

Tools
Free cinematic_ads_guide, list_projects, create_project, get_project, update_project, set_original_ad, update_asset, update_clip, list_templates, save_template, apply_template, delete_template
Paid analyze, make_images, make_video, export (each gives its price first with price_only, which spends nothing); brand_scan, refine, check_clip (small AI steps)

Tool names in the table drop the cinematic_ads_ prefix. Templates save a project's settings and brand kit so you can reuse them on the next ad.

Turn it off for a workspace

Cinematic Ads in AI assistants is on by default in every workspace with Cinematic Ads. The workspace Owner or an Admin can turn it off: open the workspace page, tab Overview, card Cinematic Ads in AI assistants. While it is off, members cannot use Cinematic Ads through an AI assistant (the tools answer not_found). The Cinematic Ads web studio keeps working.

Your data and safety

  • Only what the web studio shows comes back. The way Wandura writes the instructions behind each clip stays on Wandura's side.
  • Each person sees only their own projects, the workspace Owner included, just as on the web.
  • Technical errors come back as a plain sentence, without system details.
  • Files go in by public link only, and each file must really be an image (PNG, JPEG, WebP) or a video (MP4, MOV). Wandura checks the file itself, not only its name or label.

Example prompt

Replace the parts in <…> and paste it into a chat with the Wandura connector on:

Use Wandura Cinematic Ads. Call cinematic_ads_guide first and follow it.
Remake this ad for my app <app name>. Original ad: <public link to the MP4>.
Workspace: <workspace name>. Language: <language>. App icon: <image link>.
Tell me the credit estimate, then run all the steps without stopping.
Report after each step and give me the final video link at the end.

Troubleshooting

The assistant reports What it means What to do
not_found (404), or no workspace listed Your account has no workspace with Cinematic Ads turned on, the workspace's Owner or Admin turned off Cinematic Ads in AI assistants, or the id is wrong Ask Wandura to turn Cinematic Ads on, ask the Owner or Admin to turn the switch back on, or check you are signed in with the right account
no_credits with need and available Your wallet in the workspace has fewer credits than the step needs Ask a workspace Owner or Admin for the missing credits
Too many images and videos being made at once Some images were started; the rest are listed as waiting Ask the assistant to call make images again in a minute
unsupported_type The link did not return a video (MP4, MOV) or an image (PNG, JPEG, WebP) Use a direct link to the file, not a page that shows it
A step stays running for a long time The step is still working on the server Keep checking the project; do not start the step again

The final video link expires after a while. Ask the assistant to check the project again for a fresh one.
