# Roles and permissions

Every member of a partner organisation has exactly one role in that organisation: **admin**, **marketer**, **partner** or **developer**. The role decides which screens appear in the sidebar and which actions Wandura accepts. The same person can hold a different role in another organisation. Only an admin of your organisation can change roles; see [Team and organisation](https://docs.wandura.ai/partners/team).

## The four roles

| Role | Shown in the portal as | Intended for |
|---|---|---|
| `admin` | Vendor admin | Team leads who approve creatives, manage branding, formulas and members. |
| `marketer` | Marketer | People who build creatives and follow their progress. |
| `partner` | Partner | People who only need to watch the films licensed to the organisation. |
| `developer` | Developer | Engineers who manage API keys and integrations. |

## Permission matrix

Rights on individual films also apply: watching needs streaming rights on that film, and building creatives needs export rights. See [Films](https://docs.wandura.ai/partners/films).

> **Note:** Hiding a screen is a convenience, not the protection. If you open a screen your role does not cover, the portal sends you back to your starting screen, and Wandura refuses the underlying action with a message that names the role it needs.

## Who sees whose work

An admin sees every creative and batch in the organisation. Every other role sees only the creatives and batches they created themselves. A creative that belongs to someone else behaves as if it does not exist.
